The Isle of Wight has long been one of the UK's
most popular holiday destinations. Known as The Garden Isle, it
is noted for its warm climate,
wonderful scenery and award winning beaches. The
Isle of Wight first became popular with visitors in the
Victorian Era, when Queen Victoria made Osborne House her home
and new transport links enabled people to visit on a regular
basis. Now the Isle of Wight plays host to the international
community as well as UK visitors, who come to our Island to
sample the relaxing atmosphere.
Accommodation
providers on the Island such as
hotels, guest houses,
bed and breakfast or
self catering apartments, provide a huge range of possibilities
to suit every budget. The Isle of Wight has developed over the
years and is now able to provide family facilities at one of the
many holiday parks with chalets or caravans or one of the
camping and touring sites.
